Now That’s What I Call
Meowtorhead!
Louder than your cat at 3am. Faster than a laser pointer. Meowtorhead.

Motörhead didn't play music — they weaponised volume, pointed it at polite society, and let Lemmy Kilmister bark the obituary over twin-bass drum thunder. The philosophy was simple: loud, fast, and absolutely no apologies. Now imagine that same feral energy, but the lyrics are about knocking a full glass of water off the counter at 4am and staring directly into your eyes while doing it — that's Meowtorhead, and it is the most honest thing heavy metal has ever produced.
Somewhere in rock 'n' roll heaven, Lemmy is absolutely wearing a Meowtorhead tee — the label only made him wear the official merch because the cat version didn't have enough Iron Crosses on it, and honestly, that's a reasonable note.

Liner notes
Ace of Spades reached #4 on the UK Albums Chart in 1980 and was certified Gold by the BPI. The title track single hit #15 on the UK Singles Chart — Motörhead's highest-charting single ever.
Lemmy Kilmister was born Ian Fraser Kilmister. His nickname 'Lemmy' is thought to derive from the phrase 'lemmy a quid 'til Friday' — a nod to his habit of borrowing money for slot machines — though Lemmy himself said he never knew its true origin.
Source: Wikipedia – LemmyLemmy drank a bottle of Jack Daniel's every single day from age 30. He switched to vodka only in 2013 on doctor's orders after a health scare — a transition the metal world treated as a seismic event.
Source: Wikipedia – LemmyThe Overkill drum intro — arguably the first true double-bass-drum riff in hard rock — came about because drummer Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor secretly practised on a second bass drum for hours before rehearsals. When Lemmy and Eddie Clarke finally heard it, the song wrote itself.
Frequently screamed questions
What is 'Ace Of Spays' a parody of?
'Ace Of Spays' riffs on Motörhead's 1980 signature anthem 'Ace of Spades' — swapping Lemmy's gambling metaphors for the only gamble that matters: adopting a cat and immediately surrendering all household authority.
What makes Meowtorhead different from other cat-metal parodies?
We're metal-literate, not metal-adjacent. Every Meowtorhead design is built on a real understanding of the source material — the riffs, the lore, the warts. The joke only lands if you actually love the band, and that's exactly who we're making it for.
Is this officially licensed by Motörhead?
Meowtorhead is an independent fan parody. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Motörhead estate or BMG. We are, however, fully endorsed by our cats, which counts for more.
What styles does Meowtorhead - Ace Of Spays come in?
The Ace Of Spays design is available as a classic tee, women's tee, hoodie, crop top, and tank top — so you can commit to the cat-metal lifestyle in whatever cut lets you headbang most comfortably.
Would Lemmy have approved of Meowtorhead?
Lemmy once said he collected German military regalia because he liked the way it looked. A man with that level of unapologetic aesthetic commitment would absolutely respect a cat parody done right. We choose to believe he would have owned the hoodie.
