Awesome!

I received a lot of compliments on this one - especially since no one expects a spoof of Black Flag with cats. Hehe. Only complaint - sizes run small. I am usually a medium (or small depending on fit) - but the medium was pretty tight around the bust so I got this one in a large.

My favorite shirt

As much as I wear this shirt, I need a dozen of them! It fits ell and is comfortable even in southern summer weather. I've even slept in it. After several washes (and I'm the throw-it-all-in-the-drier type) it still looks great. The design fits my sense of humor and communicates my cat mania nd musical taste. THE LORE

Hardcore's founding logo was four plain bars, drawn by the guitarist's artist brother, who reasoned that if a white flag means surrender, a black flag means anarchy. Cat Flag's four founders sat for their own version and immediately improved it by refusing to be bars. Four cats, staggered like the downstrokes of a song that lasts fifty-one seconds, each one wearing the expression of an animal that has never surrendered to anything, including the concept of flags. Anarchy, it turns out, comes factory-installed. The band still plays basements. The cats still don't come when called. And nobody, in the entire documented history of either, has successfully told them what to do.

THE FABRIC

We tested t-shirts for years. This one won.

We spent years testing t-shirts, washing them, wearing them into the ground, until we landed on this Comfort Colors blank. We print on this one on purpose. We wanted yours to feel like the band tee you grabbed at a merch stand five years ago: soft as hell, perfectly broken in, the one friends keep telling you looks great on you. The one you'd save in a fire.

Why it feels that way:

6.1 oz ring-spun cotton. A mall tee runs 4.2 to 5 oz. You feel the difference the second you pick it up.
Dyed after it's sewn. The whole finished shirt goes into the pigment bath, so the color lands a little differently on every piece. Yours is one of one, and it fades into a vintage look the more you wear it.
Broken-in on arrival. Enzyme-washed at the dye house, so it skips the cardboard-new phase and only gets softer with each wash.
A collar that holds the line. Snug ribbed neckline that stays snug. No sad, saggy necklines.
Relaxed, slightly boxy cut. The way band tees fit before slim-fit took over.
Pre-shrunk for real. All those dye-house washes already did the shrinking. Wash cold and the fit you bought is the fit you keep.

Care for the cursed: cold wash, inside out, low dry. The slow fade is not damage, it's the point.
