In 1983, metal's most theatrical frontman sat for hours in a makeup chair to be transformed into a werewolf for his album cover and his first-ever music video, back when a music video was still a shocking new invention. Fuzzy Osbourne admires the effort while noting it was unnecessary: cats ship with the transformation pre-installed. Every night when the moon rises, the eyes go black, the spine arcs, the claws come out, and a creature that spent all day asleep on a radiator becomes a howling terror on a tree branch. No prosthetics, no chair. The famous howl on this record, played at half speed, is a meow. Historians deny this. The moon knows.
