THE LORE

The mascot embodies the old proverb — see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil — with hardware: a riveted visor over the eyes, caps on the ears, a clamp for the mouth. Meowgadeth's edition fails all three by design, because the client is a cat: the visor is bolted on and it sees your every mistake anyway, the caps are sealed and it still hears the fridge open from two floors down, and no clamp has jurisdiction over "meow." As for the debut, the legend is verified: the label lost the intended cover art and shipped an improvised photo of a plastic skull dressed in tinfoil and ketchup. Business, the title insisted, was good anyway. The band restored the real cover years later. The cat never forgave the ketchup.

THE FABRIC

We tested t-shirts for years. This one won.

We spent years testing t-shirts, washing them, wearing them into the ground, until we landed on this Comfort Colors blank. We print on this one on purpose. We wanted yours to feel like the band tee you grabbed at a merch stand five years ago: soft as hell, perfectly broken in, the one friends keep telling you looks great on you. The one you'd save in a fire.

Why it feels that way:

6.1 oz ring-spun cotton. A mall tee runs 4.2 to 5 oz. You feel the difference the second you pick it up.
Dyed after it's sewn. The whole finished shirt goes into the pigment bath, so the color lands a little differently on every piece. Yours is one of one, and it fades into a vintage look the more you wear it.
Broken-in on arrival. Enzyme-washed at the dye house, so it skips the cardboard-new phase and only gets softer with each wash.
A collar that holds the line. Snug ribbed neckline that stays snug. No sad, saggy necklines.
Relaxed, slightly boxy cut. The way band tees fit before slim-fit took over.
Pre-shrunk for real. All those dye-house washes already did the shrinking. Wash cold and the fit you bought is the fit you keep.

Care for the cursed: cold wash, inside out, low dry. The slow fade is not damage, it's the point.
