The night before release, a free hometown show drew twice the crowd the lot could hold and ended in a six-hour riot — over a record nobody had even heard yet. The cover put the band's name where the most famous sign on earth usually stands. System Of A Meow shot their version on the same hillside, allegedly, and it went differently: a local walked into frame, lay down on the scrub, refused every instruction to move, and became the cover. TOXHISSITY was recorded as thirty-odd songs and cut down to fourteen. The cat kept the rest. It maintains they weren't ready.
