A monumental long-haired cat face stares straight ahead beneath the runic MEOWSTODON letters, yellow eyes burning, chin buried in the most structurally significant beard-ruff in metal. Carved, apparently, from a single block of fluff.
After years of concept records about whale grudges and astral departures, Meowstodon made an album that was just an album — and commissioned a woodcarver to front it with a bearded, wild-eyed creature head that also hung behind them onstage, staring the audience down all night. The feline edition required no commission. Nature already carves the long-haired cat: the mane, the whiskers, the beard-ruff that accumulates gravitas and breakfast in equal measure. This one has held its stare since the runic letters were painted. Wood eventually cracks, warps, and gets sold at auction. The cat beard is self-repairing, machine-washable in theory, and never once broke eye contact.
